
Tim Durning is an illustrator working out of Philadelphia. His artwork, produced digitally with its base in traditional drawing, is influenced by artists like Edward Hopper, Jan Vermeer, Hokusai, and Alphonse Mucha.
His efforts have been recognized with a nomination for the Richard C. Von Hess Fellowship and Travel Scholarship by the University of the Arts, a scholarship grant from the Jantzen Family, and American Illustration 27th annual. He has been a guest lecturer at Ursinus College, teaching a class on visual storytelling. His exhibitions include the 2007 Phillustration show at the Philadelphia Sketch Club and the 2008 Ely, the Illustration Thesis Exhibition at the University of the Arts.
